| HS165 is an alcoholic solution of Basic Fuchsin, phenol and ethanol and is a concentrate of Carbol Fuchsin for Gram stain which when diluted 1 in 10 with purified water will yield Carbol Fuchsin for Gram counterstain (HS160). HS160 is consequently an aqueous solution of Basic Fuchsin and Phenol which is suitable for use as a counterstain in the Gram Stain technique. | ||
