Alginate Methacryloyl (AlgMA) is a modified form of sodium alginate that is designed to solidify into a gel when exposed to UV or visible light using a photoinitiator. This innovative light-curing method offers superior portability and produces gels with excellent internal uniformity compared to traditional methods that use divalent ions such as calcium. The resulting AlgMA hydrogel features a three-dimensional structure that is conducive to cell growth and differentiation and contains active chemical sites for further reactions. This hydrogel is particularly valuable in various biomedical applications. Custom modofication to the gel can be provided upon request - including peptide or other hydrogel combination.
