TCS Biosciences Ltd. is pleased to announce that on 1st December 2008 it acquired the business of HD Supplies.

HD Supplies specialises in the manufacture and supply of reagents for medical diagnosis and maintains a comprehensive product portfolio. This product range includes serology reagents, human and animal serum and plasma, wet and dry stains and dyes, immunocytochemistry substrates, clinical chemistry and haematology reagents, as well as a range of fixatives and buffer solutions. Where appropriate, products supplied by the company bear the CE mark for substances covered by the In-vitro Diagnostic Directive.

The company also provides a specialised contract freeze drying service, as well as embedding and mounting media (including fixatives and chemicals) and multi-test slides.

HD Supplies believes that the key to its continued success lies in the experience and skills of its staff and the close working relationships it maintains with customers. Also contributing is its wide product range with an extremely diverse UK and global customer base. Repeat orders from satisfied customers is a fast-growing percentage of the business and which includes hospital laboratories, universities, schools and many commercial companies both in the UK and overseas.
